The Rapid Roll® model 230 is a super-fast, maintenance-free, wind-resistant door that takes a beating! This economical door is perfect for interior and exterior use.

The Model 230's Rapid Reset System saves your company time, money and aggravation. The secret is a pair of unique "breakaway tabs" that allow the bottom beam to swing free of the side frames upon impact. Resets in seconds.




The Model 230 comes standard with Albany International's exclusive programmable logic controller.





The Model 230 resets easily in seconds. Simply run the door up to the top position and the bottom beam swings back into place.

COMPONENTS OF THE MODEL 230 RAPID ROLL® DOOR


1. VIRTUALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE DOOR PANEL
The chemical, weather and puncture resistant door blade material is tough. Constructed of a double-layer of woven polyester monofilament coated and impregnated with PVC, it is not seamed, spliced or joined. The fabric g-i-v-e-s on contact and restores itself immediately. Available in two popular colors (blue and orange), the easy to clean fabric is guaranteed for one (1) full year.



 2. HEAVY-DUTY SIDE FRAMES
The side frames are constructed of 1/4" (6 mm) thick primed and painted hot rolled steel. They measure only "4 x 4" (102mm x 102mm), making them one of the lowest profile side frames on the market. There are no rollers, bearings or pulleys in the side frames. The side frame covers are removable for easy cleaning and maintenance.

3. EXCLUSIVE WIND RIBS
Each door is standard with two (2) wind ribs, the very heart of this fast-acting, wind-resistant door. These integrated wind ribs are designed to decrease deflection of the fabric under positive or negative windloads, making it perfect for both interior and exterior applications. Extruded aluminium members (4" x 8.5" - 102mm x 6mm) extend the entire width of the door into the side frames and are precisely contoured to conform to the top roll. This reduces wear on contact points, adds rigidity and reduces operational noise.

4. HEAVY-DUTY BOTTOM BEAM
The rigid, low-profile bottom beam is made of anodized extruded aluminium alloy 6063 which will not corrode or rust. The soft touch bottom edge provides a weather-tight seal in most uneven surfaces and is excellent in extreme temperature environments.
5. FULL VISION PANELTM
Each Model 230 is standard with a Full Vision Panel™. This innovative safety device allows a complete view of objects or people approaching the door from either side. The panel is made of clear PVC, measures a full 24" (610mm) high and covers the entire width of the door.

6. SUPER-FAST DRIVE UNIT
Designed exclusively for high-speed doors, our drive unit opens at 64" (1626mm) per second and closes at 32" (813mm) per second! Each Model 230 is standard with a 2-speed direct drive unit (2-speed max. 120 sq. ft. - 11m2) with automatic closing, push button on the control panel and emergency stop. The drive unit is mounted directly to the drive shaft, eliminating the coupling. A vibration dampener is included to absorb any jarring, helping to prolong drive unit life.

7. UL-LISTED PLC
The door is controlled by our exclusive programmable logic controller (PLC). Included as standard equipment, the PLC allows you to program the door to fit any unique application you may have.

8. SAFETY EDGE
Each door is equipped with a specially-designed soft touch pneumatic safety edge that reverses the door on contact to the fully open position.

9. RAPID RESET SYSTEM
The bottom beam uses a patented door guide that breaks away upon impact and is easily reset. This saves not only time but money on costly replacement parts.

10. IN-LINE PHOTOCELLS
Standard In-line photocells prevent the Model 230 from closing when an object is in the doorway.
