THE GRANDDOOR IS UNIQUE
      The GrandDoor, an ultra-large capacity industrial door for indoor and outdoor use, is designed to match any application. Standard sizes range from 18 ft to over 65 ft (20m) wide with heights over 60 ft (18m). Unlimited sizes upon request. Any clear opening width can be met with the addition of swing up side frame mullions. Each GrandDoor is manufactured to meet your size, windload and traffic requirements. Built especially for abusive environments and heavy traffic, the durable construction allows the GrandDoor to run smoothly and rapidly.

EXCLUSIVE LIFTING DEVICE
The GrandDoor is an overhead, accordion-style door installed on a self-supporting steel frame. A series of galvanized steel horizontal trusses are seated by double panels of durable polyester fabric (tensile strength 7,500 lbs/ft). Each truss is individually connected to an ingenious lifting device which enables the door to be operated quickly and reliably even under heavy windloads. Each truss is lifted separately, at different speeds, by super-strong polyester belts rated for five times the weighted load. This enables the speed of opening to be exceptionally high-up to 24 inches per second (.6m/sec). The lifting device reduces the amount of power required to operate the door, cutting power requirements in half a considerable savings in energy and maintenance costs. The lifting system reduces the motor capacity by 50%, and provides an even load during opening and closing.

VIRTUALLY MAINTENANCE FREE
      The PVC-coated polyester door panels are individually attached to aluminium profiles on the horizontal trusses. The unique fixing design allows for simple installation and low repair costs. This arrangement also allows combinations of different colors, and provides improved insulation. The puncture and chemical-resistant fabric panels 4 ft to 7 ft (1.2-2m) high, are available in five standard colors: red, white, blue, grey, and green. The fabric is operational from -22°F to 158°F (-30°C to 70°C). The patented lifting mechanism reduces wear on the fabric. Several options (Full Vision Panels, Windows, and custom-designed logos) are available. The GrandDoor™ is backed by an extensive warranty unmatched in the industry.






EXCELLENT FOR USE IN HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
      The self-supporting columns are made of galvanized steel and include two parallel U-channels where the bearings of the horizontal trusses are well protected and travel effortlessly. The supporting construction lies completely within the door frame, protecting the operating mechanisms from harsh environments. The door also features a double seal at the bottom edge, made of soft neoprene that can seal uneven floors, including rails.






UNSURPASSED SAFETY







The control panel is custom designed to match your traffic and safety requirements. The door is visually operated from a control box with both an emergency stop function and a hold-to-run "dead man's grip" for quick response. Wall-mounted push buttons, remote control devices, floor detection loops, radar, and many other cost-saving accessories for maximum safety and efficiency are also available. Smaller doors can be equipped with a sell-testing optical or Pneumatic safety edge that immediately reverses the door if an object is in the way. In case of a power failure, the door can be crank-operated manually. The horizontal trusses (the number varies depending on height and windload) are individually lifted by super-strong polyester belts to ensure smooth, even operation. The GrandDoor's header beam carries the door load without additional anchoring onto the structure.




The columns and header are made of high grade, hot dipped, galvanized steel for maximum corrosion protection. The columns have double weather seals inside and out to reduce wear and prevent air leakage. The weathertight bottom truss has two U-shaped seals that provide draft protection and reduce energy loss. Air infiltration is minimized.
