GENERAL
Pflow Series DB Vertical Lifts move materials between two or more levels. Principal components are guide columns, carriage and mechanical actuating mechanism. All components are pre-assembled for ease of installation.

APPLICATION DATA
Pflow Series DB Vertical Lifts are available with: Live load lifting capacities to 100 lbs. Carriage sizes to 36" x 36". Vertical rise to 50'. Standard travel speed is 60 fpm (without variable frequency drive package). Travel speeds up to 400 fpm are available with variable frequency drive package.

STRUCTURE
Frame is designed to be self-standing and constructed of structural tube and steel. Carriage is typically supplied with powered roller conveyor deck. Carriage is cantilever style and may be loaded from any one of three operating sides depending on application.

OPERATION
Carriage is lifted and lowered by timing belt attached to an electric motor-reducer assembly mounted on the frame. Power unit employs a 1/2 hp TEFC brake motor mounted to the top of lift frame.

ELECTRICAL
Standard power requirements are 208V/ 230V/460V, 3-phase. Single phase is available upon request. Control voltage is 110V. Control panel is designed to be mounted to the back of the frame. A variety of control options are available from basic interface to PLC automated controls.

SAFETY FEATURES
Upward and downward travel of the carriage is controlled by a limit switch. When the switch is tripped, the motor shuts off and the brake is engaged. Overload and carriage overtravel protection is provided.

CARRIAGE & SAFETY ENCLOSURES
Safety guarding on all sides of the lift is standard. Guarding is full height material which will reject a ball 3/4" in diameter.

CODE GUARANTEE
Pflow Industries, Inc. provides a written guarantee of compliance with all federal, state and local codes. Pflow vertical reciprocating conveyors (VRC's) and continuous reciprocating conveyors (CVC's) are designed, installed and guarded in accordance with ANSI/ASME B20.1 (current edition) and National Electric Code.

SUBMITTALS
Pflow Industries provides general arrangement drawings detailing your specific application including plan and elevation views with dimensional information, equipment specifications, and guarding requirements. An Owner's Manual with complete parts list, recommended spare parts list, maintenance instructions and troubleshooting guide is also provided.

INSTALLATION
Comprehensive installation instructions and electrical schematics are provided for proper installation of Pflow vertical reciprocating conveyors. Pflow will also provide technical support so that equipment is properly installed and guarded per ANSI/ASME B20.1 to ensure safe, efficient operation.

CANTILEVERED CARRIAGE
The carriage is cantilevered to allow loading/unloading from the side. With cantilevered carriages, the support columns are placed on one side of the carriage to allow loading/unloading at 90° angles. This requires heavier structure and guide wheel components. Carriage size and capacity are limited by the unbalanced load condition. With large carriages or high capacity applications, the carriage thickness is increased thereby requiring a deeper pit for proper installation.
